The Anam Launches ‘Family is Everything’ experience
The Anam has introduced a package designed to reconnect loved ones and foster family quality time, combining a getaway in a remarkable three-bedroom ‘Family Hill Villa’ with a host of culinary and recreational experiences for all ages.
The ‘Family is Everything’ experience is on offer at the 12-hectare beachfront resort’s two-storey Family Hill Villas that each total 267sqm and feature three spacious bedrooms, four bathrooms, separate living and dining areas, a kitchenette, two balconies with panoramic sea views, a terrace with a BBQ grill and a 40sqm private swimming pool.
Families sprinkle their time at the independently owned and operated five-star resort on Cam Ranh’s picturesque peninsula with as many family experiences as they wish, handpicking selections from the resort’s broad spectrum of culinary, wellness, creative and culturally-enriching pursuits.
“Now that the Year of the Rat is well and truly underway, we felt it more than appropriate to introduce a multigenerational travel experience that focuses on the fact that family really is everything,” said the resort’s founder Pham Van Hien.
The Anam offers private poolside BBQs at the Family Hill Villas, dispatching a chef equipped with a charcoal BBQ and a waiter for the occasion. In addition to seasonal salads and desserts, families have the choice of either a ‘seafood lovers’ package including Nha Trang lobster, jumbo tiger prawns, fresh grouper, a ‘land lubbers’ package with tender Australian black Angus beef, Victorian lamb and juicy pork, or a combination of both seafood and meat.
In addition to tennis and mini-golf at the resort’s tennis court and putting green respectively, the resort makes the most of its beachfront setting offering beach volleyball, kayaking, sailing and fishing.
In a first for a Vietnamese resort, The Anam boasts a 3D movie theatre seating up to 60 people that screens three movies a day. Billiards tables and table football are available, and the kid’s club hosts all sorts of experiences including yoga for kids, painting conical hats, making pictures out of beans and shells, coloring shells, bucket races, tug of war and more.
Other activities that tap into Vietnamese culture include ‘Vovinam’ self-defense classes, Vietnamese cooking classes and Vietnamese language classes.
Each Friday night, mothers of the staff prepare Vietnamese recipes, handed down the generations, as if they are cooking for their own families as part of the resort’s hugely popular ‘Mama’s Cooking’.
The Anam also ushers talented local artists onto its grounds each Wednesday evening to practice their craft before guests in a weekly open-air art studio as a Nha Trang street food buffet is served.
The resort also orchestrates a ‘Day in the Life’ experience that embeds guests into the warp of a Vietnamese family from the neighbouring countryside that’s been matched to their own profile, as well as a ‘Pho Discovery’ tour, whereby guests visit the local markets to select their ingredients for a cooking class.
The Anam also has joined forces with boutique chocolate maker Fifty Fresh Farms, located in the nearby countryside, to launch an indulgent half-day tour dedicated to everything Vietnamese chocolate.
The resort’s resident yogi Umesh holds sunrise, power and sunset yoga classes, and the spa’s menu includes massages, facials, body wraps, body scrubs and ‘Vietnamese Zodiac Spa’ journeys tailored to guests’ birth years, zodiac signs and zodiac elements.
The Anam is home to three swimming pools, four restaurants, three bars and a 300-metre stretch of private beachfront set on what is often cited as Vietnam’s best beach.
